The Micro-86/88 EB trainer can operate with either the 16-bit processor-8086 or the 8-bit processor-8088 in minimum modes. Micro-86/88 EB trainer kit manufactured by Vi Microsystems Pvt. Ltd, Chennai.
INSTALLATION – 8086
The trainer works with the 8086 CPU in the minimum mode. Jumper J6 is used for selection of CPU 8088, which is inserted in U6 position. For installing the kit with 8086 do as follows:
a)      Ensure that the socket U6 contains 8086.
b)      Leave J6 open
c)      Connect the trainer with the mains using the power-chord provided
d)     Power-on the trainer
e)      The trainer is issued a power up reset and the reset message shown in LCD display. Press RES key, if the display is not proper.   
f)       If you encounter any further problems, please contact company customer support division before proceeding further.
Final message-






INSTALLATION – 8088
a)      Close the jumper J6
b)      Check if the socket U6 contains 8088
c)      Connect the trainer with the mains
d)     Power-on the trainer

COMMAND KEY FUNCTION
RES: This key allows the user to terminate any activity and return the Micro-86/88 to an initialized state. When it is pressed, the “VI MICROSYSTEMS (P) LTD CHENNAI” message appears in the LCD display for a few seconds and then the monitor will come to the command prompt “Micro-8086 EB”. Commands will be accepted only after this prompt is displayed.
INT: The INT key allows the user to interrupt any activity and return to the command prompt.
